Electrifying Rwanda's Moto Taxis

PROJECT SUMMARY: 
Ampersand will develop, test, and demonstrate an electric motorcycle taxi (e-moto) and solar-powered battery charging system in Rwanda. The pilot project will demonstrate that solar-powered electric motorcycles are a cheaper, cleaner and higher performing alternative to the petrol motos currently used by thousands of drivers in Rwanda. The project will accelerate the global transition to electric vehicles and put Rwanda on the map as a leader in this change.
